This Monday, March 17, Royals celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by dressing in green spirit wear. Saint Patrick’s Day honors the life of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland and his strong faith, bravery and compassion for others. By spreading the Gospel and God’s plan throughout his life, St. Patrick left a powerful impact and inspires us to do the same.
As part of Clash of the Classes spirit week, students came dressed in green on Monday to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and made sure not to get pinched for not wearing green. According to the email Ms. La Bonte ‘09 sent out, students were allowed to “wear a green shirt with jeans or uniform skirt.”
Junior Madeline Nero, a proud ginger, took the spirit day a step further and made her own shirts to celebrate this holiday: “I love St. Patrick’s Day; I loved seeing my face around campus.” It definitely was great to see everyone celebrating.
