This past Friday, the faculty threw a baby shower in the Assembly Hall at lunch for Mrs. Kaluzny and her baby girl who’s on the way! Mrs. Kaluzny is one of our amazing athletic directors, and she teaches anatomy. She was so grateful for a beautiful baby shower. Mrs. Kaluzny stated, “It was so wonderful to see how much this little baby is loved and supported before she is even born.” She also received some gifts including books and blankets. Mrs. Kaluzny is excited to share Rosary’s generosity with her new baby girl.
Mrs. Kaluzny is such an amazing teacher and person, so I think we can all agree that she will be a great mother. Mrs. Hunt, one of Mrs. Kaluzny’s friends and bridesmaids at her wedding, affirmed that Mrs. Kaluzny will be a wonderful mother. Mrs. Hunt explained her reasoning behind her confidence in Mrs. Kaluzny’s mom skills: “She’s smart, savvy and ready for this. This woman can identify every bone and muscle…she’s going to pinpoint any issues that baby has right away on her own! She’s going to be just fantastic!” This is so true. Her anatomy experience sounds like it would be very helpful in determining any issues with the baby. Other teachers like Mrs. Langenwalter also shared how they believe Mrs. Kaluzny will be an amazing girl mom because of who she is as a person and because “she’s already such a wonderful educator and mentor on campus.”

Now, let’s discuss something else everyone is dying to know: what will be baby Kaluzny’s name? Mrs. Kaluzny is keeping her name ideas hidden: “We have a couple name ideas, but we aren’t going to reveal the name until she is born.” Some teachers shared their name guesses and suggested names like Kiki, Skyler, Kelli, Molly, Kimmi or Koko. Mrs. Hunt even suggested the name Samantha! I’m sure Mrs. Kaluzny and her husband have a beautiful name for the baby, and we can’t wait to find out what it is!
From Mrs. Kaluzny’s perspective, she is more nervous than her husband, but she is extremely excited to be done with pregnancy. She is looking forward to holding her little girl and can’t wait for a sense of calm to settle over her when the baby rests on her chest. The baby is due on April 17, which is about four weeks away!

I’m not sure you can ever be truly prepared to be a mother, but some advice from other parents might help. Mrs. Hunt is a mother to three children, and her biggest piece of advice is to “be sure to make the baby a part of your life. Don’t change your entire life around the baby, have her be a part of yours! Go places, enjoy her out and about! Enjoy every stage of life!” Mr. Tice, athletic director and someone who works alongside Mrs. Kaluzny, also shared some valuable advice as a dad of great kids. He shared, “As a parent, I would advise her not to worry about what she doesn’t know yet. Being a parent is a job you grow into; as the child grows, you get better at it based in the needs of the child. If you start with love, everything after that is easy.” Such wise words.
Please keep the Kaluzny family in your prayers as they prepare to welcome a beautiful baby girl, and we have no doubts that Mrs. Kaluzny will be an incredible mother!
