Throughout the school year, Rosary has numerous opportunities to host shadows and showcase our unique attributes, including our all-girls environment, Catholic-based education and advanced curriculum to prospective students and their families. This past Wednesday, March 12, Rosary hosted yet another shadow day where we welcomed these young girls onto our campus with open arms and celebrated our Spring Sports Rally. Many prospective students walked onto campus with bright smiles, ready to take the day on as a Royal.
These shadows got to enjoy a day of fun with the Spring Sports Rally, a day of learning while they sat through students’ classes, good food and company while they made new friends. It is safe to say that these future Royals had a great day thanks to their amazing ambassadors and the Rosary staff as a whole.
Ambassador Makayla Rodriguez ’27 got the opportunity to host a shadow on Wednesday. Makayla was assigned to her shadow through shared interests and prior school. Both girls shared the love for cheer and the two got along great. Makayla shared, “I was so happy I was paired with my shadow. She was the sweetest.” When asked what she liked about being an ambassador, Makayla responded with, “I like being an ambassador because I get to meet so many sweet, new people. It provides the opportunity to make new friends who will soon be my classmates in the years coming up. I encourage all girls to shadow Rosary because it is a great opportunity to see what the sisterhood is like and what our school has to offer.”
Another sophomore ambassador, Elizabeth Braatz, agrees with all of Makayla’s points. When Elizabeth was asked what she liked about being an ambassador, she stated, “The pros of being an ambassador is that you get the chance to talk about all the great things about Rosary. You also get to host shadows and other girls and show them why they should come to Rosary. It is truly a great environment to be in and the girls here will lift you up, which is something every girl needs. The girls you meet here will be your longtime friends and supporters.”
