On Tuesday, March 11, Rosary Academy held a big/little sister lunch. During this time, our Royals received a TK Burger lunch before bonding with their Rosary sister. The opportunity of having a sister allows the students to bond with girls from other grades, sharing their experience as either upperclasswomen/lowerclasswomen. It is a great way to meet people who you might share a common interest with, and it fosters a strong sense of community within our school.
Along with having lunch with their sister, Royals also had the chance to partake in the sacrament of Reconciliation, which is especially important as we embark on our Lenten journey. Overall, it was a great experience that many Royals were grateful for. Let’s see what a couple of our students have to say about this day:

Sophomore Rachel Swenson said, “Malia Sims ‘25 brought the best cookies to lunch paired with my amazing burger!” As a tradition, our Royal sisters typically bring a little treat for each other. Sims kindly brought her little sister cookies, which definitely sounds great after a TK burger!

Junior Giselle Gomez noted, “I had such a great time talking with my little sister, Sophia Lombardi ‘28. She is such a sweet girl and I loved helping her figure out the ins and outs of Rosary!” As Gomez said, having a “sister” at Rosary Academy is a great way for newer students to learn about the school and navigate the obstacles of high school.
In the end, it seems like everyone had a great time on Tuesday. Many of us enjoyed growing closer with our sister, as well as reconciling with God during this Lenten season. I’m sure we all hope that we have this experience again soon!
