One of the most cherished forms of entertainment, YouTube, serves as a platform to discover new ideas, find humor, and escape from the mundane aspects of everyday life. However, with millions of creators, some gems slip through the cracks. Read on to discover some of our favorite YouTubers who might soon become yours.
Eva Meloche (Travel/Lifestyle):
Eva Meloche has been a comfort YouTuber of mine for many years. Her content mainly consists of travel and study abroad vlogs in which she documents her day-to-day life as she travels with friends, family, or even solo. Her aesthetic aura coupled with her impeccable fashion taste makes her the quintessential lifestyle YouTuber. She also shares her experience journaling and also gives great book recommendations that I have taken up on several occasions. Her calm narration and picturesque shots of her travels make her videos perfect for when you want to escape and feel like you are in the moment with her. If you are interested in traveling or if you’re seeking new fashion inspiration, I couldn’t recommend Eva Meloche enough.
OliSUNvia (Video Essays):
When I’m in the mood to learn more or delve into topics of pop culture, I turn to Olivia. Olivia makes video essays with varying topics in a longer form video. Her topics range from “What makes Gen Z humor so interesting?” to “Can street art survive modern capitalism?” Watching her videos often feels like watching a documentary about a niche topic. Her videos may answer questions you’ve had for a while, or introduce new questions that you’ve never thought of before. If you’re ever in the mood to hunker down and explore topics that don’t typically get addressed often, try putting on one of Olivia’s videos.
Sturniolo Triplets (Entertainment):
The Sturniolo Triplets are a group of three brothers who make humorous videos sharing stories about their lives. Their interesting dynamic and storytelling delivery make them so entertaining to watch and will have you laughing along with them. They’re known for their car videos in which they exchange stories or participate in famous trends. I have been a fan of them for a while and always watch their videos when I need a good laugh. Reese Rubly ’27, who shares a love for the Sturniolo Triplets, tells me why she likes watching them: “The triplets are my favorite YouTubers because they are funny and always put a smile on my face. They also wished me a happy birthday!” My friend, Adreanna Esquivias ‘25, and I love them so much that we recently got tickets to see them on their surprise party tour in Los Angeles.

Karsten Runquist (Movie Reviews):
If you are an easily influenced, pretentious movie goer like me, then Karsten Runquist is the creator for you! Runquist is an American filmmaker who has made several short movies; however, when he is not busy making his own films, he spends the rest of his time running his podcast (“KarstCast”) and successful YouTube channel (“Karsten Runquist”). His content is made up of in-depth movie reviews/analyses and several entertaining ranking videos; I essentially form most of my opinions of movies based on his reviews and Letterboxd ratings.
Anything Goes (Advice/Lifestyle):
While Emma Chamberlain has amassed international fame for her relatable YouTube channel and coffee company (Chamberlain Coffee), her podcast, “Anything Goes,” often goes overlooked. Compared to her YouTube channel, which has become a sort of sporadic compilation of aesthetic footage, Emma posts more regularly to her podcast and actually takes time on it to flesh out her opinions and experiences. Thus, if you are looking for solid fashion and relationship advice, I would highly recommend “Anything Goes.”
Mandy’s iPhone (Lifestyle/ Entertainment):
Last but not least, “Mandy’s iPhone” is one of the best YouTube channels for lonely people like me: centering around Mandy’s relationship and adventures with her friends and boyfriend, watching a “Mandy’s iPhone” video is like hanging out with your very own funny friend group (I have friends, I promise). With very minimal editing, “Mandy’s iPhone” is the perfect channel if you want to escape reality for a while and simply enjoy other people enjoying each other’s company.
In addition, if you are a “Slushynoobz” lover like I am, I recommend you watch “Mandy’s iPhone” for more funny, wholesome footage of Martin and Hamzah. In fact, when I asked senior Kate Piper, a major “Slushynoobz fan,” if she watches “Mandy’s iPhone” and whether or not she would watch the channel based on what she knows about Hamzah and Martin, she stated, “I don’t watch ‘Mandy’s iPhone,’ but I would watch it based on the videos I see of Martin and Mandy.”
If you watch any of these YouTubers, be sure to leave a comment with your favorite video/podcast episode of theirs! On the other hand, if you are not familiar with any of these channels, we recommend you at least give one of them a chance; who knows, they might just become your new hyper-fixation.
