Have you ever wondered what Red & Gold Captain our scholarly teachers would be? If you have, this is the article for you!
Dance Captain: Ms. Williams
English teacher Ms. Williams would be a great dance captain due to her experience and background dancing for Notre Dame, her alma mater.
Drill Captain: Sra. Kappe ‘03
Spanish teacher Sra. Kappe has many talents. From singing to being one of the world’s biggest optimists, there really is nothing she can’t do. For this reason, it was quite difficult for me to place her in a singular category; however, after much thought, I believe her lively spirit and impressive energy would make her a great drill captain.
Choral Captains: Ms. Brinegar ‘16 and Mr. Faubl
While Ms. Brinegar was only in choral her sophomore year, she also yearned deeply to be a choral captain during her years at Rosary: “I wanted to be choral captain because I love to sing and because I was in choir both at Rosary and in my church. The song would depend on the script, but it would definitely be a girl group song so I could use the harmonies.” If her singing is as good as her writing, Ms. B would make a great choral captain.
In addition, since he is always singing and humming as he walks through the halls, I thoroughly believe that Mr. Faubl would make a superb choral captain! Can you imagine the song selections?
Fashion Captains: Mrs. D’Alba and Mrs. Langenwalter
Next up, both Mrs. D’Alba and Mrs. Langenwalter would make perfect fashion captains due to their equally trendy styles. If they were on the same team, they would definitely get their respected team the fashion commendation.
Script Captain: Mrs. Roberts
When it came to my attention that Mrs. Roberts writes her own scripts in her free time, I immediately knew that she would make the perfect script captain. On her experience, Mrs. Roberts shared, “I have several scripts in my writing portfolio, but I have only sold one. While I typically write drama, I also work on adaptations. For example, in my private work, I’ll take classic literature and write an alternative POV for it.”
Drama Captains: Mr. Parmar and Sra. Ray
Sra. Ray and Dr. Parmar immediately came to mind when I thought of drama captains because they are both major drama queens. Further proving my point, this is what Dr. Parmar had to say about his assigned role, “Me?! Dramatic?! Why, I never!”

Tech Captain: Mrs. Ward
Although Mrs. Ward would be a stellar fashion captain, I wrote her down as a tech captain because she would rock that headset!
Props, Media, and Historian Captains: Ms. Christensen, Mr. Lyons and Mrs. Duque
For obvious reasons, Fundamentals of Art and Ceramics Teacher Ms. Christensen; Computer Science Teacher and Yearbook Adviser Mr. Lyons; and Photography Teacher Mrs. Duque would make the perfect props, media, and historian captains.
House Manager: Mrs. Jenkins
Last but definitely not least, Mrs. Jenkins is perfect for the house manager position because she is organized and the perfect balance between stern and amiable.
Comment if you agree with any of these; if you don’t, what Red & Gold captain do you think certain teachers would be?
