Rosary and Servite students have an opportunity to take the in-person Mock SAT and ACT on Saturday, March 29 at 9 a.m. here at Rosary Academy. There will be the opportunity to take a digital version of the test as well as paper. This test will let students know where they stand before taking the real SAT or ACT.
Taking the mock SAT or ACT will help determine which test is the better fit for students. The SAT has mathematics, reading and writing comprehension as well as other subjects. In contarst, the ACT has four main subjects: mathematics, English, reading and science. Both tests are full-length practice tests under timed conditions like the real test.
College and academic counselor, Mrs. Sanchez shared, “Students are encouraged to take mock SAT or ACT tests to determine which one is the best fit for them. Timed practice tests can help build test-taking endurance and identify strengths and areas for improvement.” Mrs. Sanchez also added that, “Mock SAT and ACT tests are recommended for sophomores and juniors as they prepare for the actual exams.”
Taking the practice exams will help build testing skills and give a personalized report on what each student’s strengths and weaknesses are. Rae Lopez ’26, who took the practice SAT, shared that taking the practice test was very beneficial: “It was really good practice if you want to take the actual test. The questions are really similar to the test so its good.”

On the day of the test, students should bring their student ID, pencils and an approved calculator. If taking the mock SAT, you must bring a fully charged laptop or iPad for an online test.
Registration closes at 5 p.m on Wednesday, March 26. Sign up here.
