Happy Red & Gold season, Royals! With Rosary’s beloved tradition coming closer and closer every week, earning points for your team becomes more important every day. Different ways you can earn points for your team is by attending sports games, buying or selling raffle tickets and participating in the blood drive. This past week, you could gain more points by donating $5 on Wednesday and Thursday to wear pajama pants and sweatpants.
The money that was raised from those of you who donated also helped fire victims. Many people who lost their homes and belongings to the violent fires at the beginning of the new year were forced to give up so much, and this charity will help many members in the community start fresh.

On Wednesday, Gold Drama participated in the fundraiser by wearing their favorite pajama pants and Rosary shirts and sweaters. Gold Drama Captain Matilda Simmons ’26, shared why she thinks these fun and easy points are significant when she said, “Extra points are super important for the Gold team because they can help build team unity. It goes to a good cause, and it raises our chance of winning!”
On Thursday, Red Choral also shared their excitement for extra points by donating for the fundraiser and wearing sweatpants. Sophie Lickl ’27 expressed, “It’s important to earn those points because it helps our amazing team get closer and closer to winning, but also because it teaches us how being a good team player is meaningful in different ways.”

Senior Yami Guzman agreed when she added, “Every point counts, and out of all the different opportunities, this is my favorite because you can help out but also stay comfortable at the same time!”
However, if you didn’t get the chance to participate in earning points for your team, be on the lookout for future emails describing what you can do before it’s too late. If you have any questions, Mrs. Huerta ’94 or Ms. La Bonte ’09 can clarify any confusions. Make sure to do everything you can to support your team, and best of luck to both teams!
