If you are interested in music that makes you want to dance or you like good beats with catchy lyrics, Lady Gaga’s type of music is for you. Lady Gaga has just released her new hit song “Abracadabra,” a phenomenal single that is a sneak peek into her new album. Siena Dascanio ’27 said, “I have always been a big fan of Lady Gaga. Her new song is so good, and it makes me want to get up and work out to get my summer bod. It is super fun and really motivating.”
On the other hand, if you like alternative pop music with a whimsical flare, Lana Del Rey is a perfect artist for you to check out. With her new upcoming album, “The Right Person Will Stay,” being described as an unconventional reflection on the ideas love, family and responsibility. Claire Mostero ’27 shared her excitement about Lana Del Rey’s new album when she said, “I love her type of music because there are many different songs that can make you want to cry, sing or dance. She has always been a childhood favorite of mine. I adore any type of music that she comes out with.”
Another artist, who has actually collaborated with Lana Del Rey, just released his brand-new album, “Hurry Up Tomorrow.” The Weeknd, who performed at the 2025 Grammy Awards as well as the 2021 Super Bowl Half-Time Show, has been working tirelessly for his new songs such as “Cry for Me” and “Give Me Mercy.” Some Royals have given them a listen and had good things to say. Senior Alanis Guardian mentioned, “In my opinion, I like listening to the Weeknd because he has a good voice and his music is creative. You can tell he sings from the heart.”

Lastly, the youngest of all the artists we have mentioned, Tate McRae, is releasing her new album, “So Close To What,” this month. Tate Mcrae’s pop music has been very influential in different communities such as the dance community. Sophomore Alexis Perez says, “I love Tate McRae because she is triple threat. She can sing, dance and she is a model which shows so much to her character and her music.” Perez goes on to say, “Speaking of her music, it is unique and is so much fun to dance and sing to.” So, if you enjoy music that makes you want to dance and sing, definitely check out Tate McRae’s new album later this February.
