Believe it or not, Red & Gold is just around the corner– the performances are only three weeks away! As many Royals, myself included, have already bought their finale costumes and are preparing for one of the best weekends at Rosary, I’ve decided to make some predictions of what I think is going to happen this year:
Mrs. Vasquez ’17 will join Gold choral and sing an amazing solo.
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will come flying on a broom and will “Defy Gravity.”
Full Circle will come back to Rosary to crash the finale to perform their song “Vegas.”
Dean Burboa will join Red dance on stage and do a cartwheel.
Stitch will run across the stage during Red drill to promote his new movie.
The Duolingo bird will be the lead in Red drama and show us the importance of keeping your Spanish streak (RIP Duo, you will be missed).
Gold’s script will be about Timothee Chalamet finding “The Silver Lining” after Kylie Jenner breaks up with him.
A hairspray can will explode along with glitter and Servite will never be able to get rid of it.
In order to get into the theater, each audience member must recite Lin Manuel Miranda’s monologue from “Hamilton.”
Speaking of “Hamilton,” Mr. O’Campo will cameo in drama and make his acting debut as Lin Manuel Miranda, singing “My Shot” in the laundromat.
Paul Mescal will do a front flip into the splits, showing us his skills from “Gladiator.”
White Team member, Malia Sims ’25 says, “After the Saturday night show, AJ, Big Justice and the Rizzler come out and give both Red & Gold five big booms!”
Sims also thinks that “Charli XCX will come out and announce that the winner of Red & Gold is the team that gave off the most Brat Summer Vibes and crowns White Team as the winner of Red & Gold.”
NHL star Macklin Celebrini will surprise me, Alina Valencia ’27, and will congratulate me on my first Red & Gold win.
As each team waits in the Servite gym to go on, Troy Bolton and Chad Danforth both appear to give us an each a pep talk and perform “Getcha Head in the Game.”
Rihanna will crash the Gold Finale to tell us her new album, “R9,” will be coming out this summer.
Megan Ramirez ’27 thinks “Someone will do a backflip for sure.”
Mrs. Roberts will have solo in Red Choral.
Red’s Script will be about Mr. Beast finding “The Silver Lining” after his Feastables sales started to decrease.
All of Gold Fashion will have Laa-Laa, the yellow Teletubby’s face, on it.
Moses will make an appearance and part the Red Sea once again during the Red Finale.
Taylor Swift will sing “Red” and announce that Red team will win, which will be quickly interrupted by Harry Styles appearing to sing his song “Golden” saying Gold team actually won.
Since Harry Styles will be at Red & Gold he will also announce he is going on tour and releasing a new album. He will then give each Rosary girl free VIP tickets!
