As much as I love all of Rosary’s current events, I have been thinking about new ideas we can add to the social calendar. I should probably be invited to the next activities meeting since I have so many ideas for new school events:
1. Quadchella
Ever wanted to go to Coachella but can’t because tickets are too expensive? Well, we can have our own Coachella in the quad. How cool would it be if campus was set up like the different Coachella stages? In one corner, we can have a silent disco and, in another, a country band. We could even dress up (according to the dress code, of course). On this wonderful idea, Mrs. Flati shared, “I would love to see people sing and play instruments. I feel like we have so many talented girls at Rosary who can share their talents at Quadchella. Mixed with a DJ, too… I would for sure like to chaperone that.”
2. Neon Nights rally
Have you ever thought about a rally at night time? Because I sure have! We can have a neon-themed joint pep rally in the evening hours. Every class would be a different color and compete in games with Servite. This sounds like a fun way to create unity with each Rosary and Servite class. Sharing her thoughts on a Rosary-Servite event, Chole Ryan ’27 stated, “ I think we should do a Sky Zone day with Servite. We could get to know one another while jumping on trampolines. Another event that is not a dance would be so fun.”
3. Soda bar and floats
This one would be a great fundraiser idea! Rosary can have its own ”dirty soda bar.” A dirty soda is a combination of soda, coffee creamer, ice cream and flavored syrup. ASB can have a build-your-own soda table with all types of sodas and syrups like raspberry, peach, and coconut. It would be the perfect cold drink on a warm day.
4. Seniors painting their uniforms on the last day of school
If you are on Senior TikTok or Pinterest you might have seen this super cute trend of seniors painting their uniform on the last day of school. I think that this would be a fun tradition we could bring to Rosary.
5. International food festival
I think we should do an international fair type of event where different clubs sign up to be a country and make dishes from that country. This could be a fundraiser for each club’s charity of choice. Girls can buy tickets and try several new, different types of foods.
In all seriousness, this is just for fun and it would be cool to see these events at school. I can’t wait to see everyone at Quadchella next year!
