Hi Royals! Our student body, faculty and staff have an amazing opportunity to serve the dear neighbor without distinction. From Feb 3 to 10, all Royals can donate snacks for all the firefighters fighting the devastating Los Angeles fires. You can even earn Red & Gold points for the items you donate.
Due to dry winds and poor weather conditions, a series of wildfires broke out across the Los Angeles County, affecting millions of people and thousands of acres of land. LA residents were displaced, many lost their lives, and hundreds of firefighters have been working relentlessly to try to contain and extinguish these ruinous wildfires.
Donating snacks such as a box of individually packaged chips, fruit snacks, or protein bars are a great way for our Rosary community to show support and love while our firefighters continue to do their best to protect many more communities and homes. Every day, our first responders put their lives on the line to protect ours. All it takes is a box of granola bars or chips to make someone’s day brighter, to satisfy the need for a quick bite, and the knowledge that we support firefighters and their courageous efforts.
You can find the donation bins outside of Room 8; just turn in your snack to your designated team color’s box for your Red & Gold points.

When asked why you should donate snack to our first responders, Mrs. Vasquez ’17 expressed, “You should be donating snacks to the snacks drive because it is a part of our charism to help the dear neighbor without distinction.” She went on to say, “This is a small way to give back to and support our first responders who continuously keep defending us against the fires.”
Sophomore Molly Burke took Mrs. Vasquez’s advice and took the time out of her day to donate some snacks: “I did it because they are in need of love and food for all their hard work.” She added, “I also earned Red Team some points.”
Please support your neighbors in this disastrous time of need. Many have been suffering and fighting a strenuous battle and it is within our charism to help them to the best of our abilities.
