On Friday, Feb. 7, the Trinitas Winterfest officially begins! This year, Winterfest consists of three days filled with theater magic. Friday will consist of Shakespearean sonnets, scenes and songs; Saturday will consist of a Comedy Sportz match; Sunday, the final day, will consist of a Trinitas Cabaret. Each event costs $10 for admission at the Servite Theater. The events on Saturday and Sunday begin at 7 p.m. On Sunday, the event begins at 3 p.m.
On Friday, nine Royals will be putting on “An Evening of Shakespeare: Heroes and Villians.” These Royals are: Bella Ambata ‘27, Sami DiCrisi ‘26, Amanda Fernandez ‘27, Giselle Gomez ‘26, Kateri Hodge ‘26, Ella Jenkins ‘27, Alyssa Parial ‘25, Gabriela Ramirez ‘25 and MaryJane Simmons ‘27.
On Saturday, there will be a special Comedy Sportz match, since it will be the High School League vs. Faculty Match. Teams are soon to be announced for this day. When asked about Comedy Sportz, Alina Valencia ‘26 exclaims, “I like Comedy Sportz because it’s a great way to meet new people and expand your confidence! I enjoy playing different games with my team, and as captain, I enjoy helping my team get a win and helping their confidence.”
Finally, on Sunday, three Royals will participate in a Cabaret. These Royals include Giselle Gomez, Gabriela Ramirez and MaryJane Simmons. When asked about Winterfest, Matilda Simmons ‘26 stated, “I’m really excited for the first Trinitas Winterfest this year. I’m looking forward to seeing the Shakespeare show that has been put together, and I’m also excited to see all of the Cabaret performances! There’s also going to be a Comedy Sportz day, so I’m sure that’ll be fun to watch as well.”
