Hey Royals! With Red and Gold kick off, Royal’s favorite season, officially in full swing, we must also take the time to recognize other activities that have very exciting things coming up for them and their respective teams.
Rosary’s Water Polo team has worked hard in their many games this season and officially made it to CIF. How exciting! Currently, the team is waiting with anticipation for their ranking, which determines if they are going to be competing as D1 players or D2 players in CIF. This news will come out this Friday, January 31.
After senior night, which was a huge success, the Royal Water Polo team has been practicing endlessly to prepare their bodies and minds for a challenging but thrilling time in their season. The girls work tirelessly in their season with one end goal in mind, winning league and being CIF champions once again.
Anticipation has taken the team by storm, during their season. Sophomore Bella Corona shares this feeling of suspense and excitement with her teammates. When asked how she is feeling about going into CIF, she states, “I feel excited and hopeful. I am really looking forward to seeing how the game will play out and the outcome of the competitions”. She also continues, “I am also looking forward to working with and bonding with my teammates and most importantly, having fun”.
Destiny Perez ’27 expresses the same feelings as Bella. Destiny shares, “I am thrilled to be able to play with my amazing teammates and I am excited to see where we go in CIF”. She further elaborates, “Being able to play on this team has been such a blessing. I am very happy going into CIF”.
Water polo has had tournaments all this month and is scheduled for more for the weeks to come. Especially in the midst of CIF and the stress that comes with being a student-athlete, we encourage all Royals to come out and support water polo and cheer them on as their season continues.
