On Saturday, Jan. 18, Rosary’s 21st annual Red Wine & Gold event will be open to all those 21 and above. Filled with various types of food, wine and sweet treats, this evening is sure to bring our Rosary community closer. Throughout the night, money will be raised by the different vendors and sponsors; all proceeds will be going towards the Trudy Mazzarella Fund to help incoming and existing students at Rosary. Moreover, it is a wonderful event that builds excitement for the parents attending Red & Gold.
Over the years, Red Wine & Gold has raised more than $3,500,000 for numerous students to attend this beautiful school. Donating money or purchasing items such as sports tickets, vacation homes, designer items and skin care products is a wonderful chance to give back to the Rosary community!
If you are a student whose parents are attending, you can join the fun by volunteering to work the event. One of the students working this year, Amelia Perez ’25, expressed, “I am excited to work at Red Wine & Gold because I enjoy the time helping out and being with my friends. My dad helps run the event so it’s nice to see his hard work come together in the end.”
Speaking of parents, Lydia Conley, a mother who attended the event last year, shared, “I enjoyed attending Red Wine & Gold because it’s a great way for parents to let loose and raise money for an important cause that is dear to all of us. The quality of the food is excellent, and the wine selections are exceptional. Whether it’s date night or a mom’s night out, you are guaranteed to have a blast!” Conley also complimented the Rosary girls who work the event, stating they were, “always happy and very sweet to talk to.”
Finally, Valerie Estrada, a Rosary alumna, shared, “For the past few years, I have enjoyed working this Rosary tradition since it gave me the opportunity to create a deeper connection with my teachers and conversate with parents about our love for Rosary. My mom is also one of the many vendors at the event, and I loved being able to work alongside her.”
Overall, Red Wine & Gold will be full of laughter and great fun. With the live music, various vendors and many different bidding prizes, there is no doubt that parents will highly enjoy their time!
