On Friday January 10, Rosary Academy’s very own soccer team played against Laguna Beach High School where they celebrated an amazing game and a 3-0 win. “We came out with great energy which helped us win against a good team,” says Grace Gomez ’26.
Additionally, on January 14 they won their game 2-0 against Woodbridge High School. Their coaches have been working hard to get them through a tough preseason and retain their undefeated record in season.
They’ve been playing so good that they were ranked top 10 in all of Orange County in the OC Register for two weeks in a row. This is a huge accomplishment that has helped to showcase Rosary’s amazing team this year. The Orange Country Register is a popular newspaper that reports on all things Orange County, and Rosary making the list is an impressive accomplishment.
Their next game will be against University High School on January 31. Make sure to show up and support the Royals on their road to success. If their win streak continues the team will be able to qualify for CIF. From there, Rosary has a chance to make it all the way to state. Bella Cantos 26′ says “We’re really motivated, and we have high hopes for CIF, it is one of the main goals we wanted to achieve this season, and I know we can do it.”
The team has been able to showcase their amazing skill, talent, teamwork, and how hard they’ve been working during the off-season. Be sure to show up at the next game this Friday against University High School to support the team and help lead them to another victory. The game starts at 3:30 p.m. Let’s go Royals!
