Sophomore Sabrina Fructus visited a country close to home with sunny beaches, bright sunsets and a beautiful culture: “I traveled to Cancun, Mexico during winter break.” When asked about her favorite memory from her trip, she stated, “My favorite memory was being in the warm temperature and ocean. It was also really fun being away from the cold weather for a while.”
Traveling to a similar climate, junior Siena Ruszak went to one of Hawaii’s tropical islands, Maui, over New Year’s weekend. She visited with family and friends, and they all had a great time creating many new memories. Her favorite memory from her trip was “getting ready for dinner after laying out in the sun all day and tanning.” To the left, her picture shows one of the many beautiful sunsets of Maui.
Next, Mariella Tran ’27 visited quite the opposite environment: “I went to Seattle and Canada over break.” She proceeded to tell us, “My favorite memory is Christmas or just hanging out with my cousins because I don’t get to see them often. It is always so fun with them.”
Lastly, Madeleine Cwiertny ’25 visited one of the world’s oldest and greatest cities: London, England. Madeleine shared, “I loved touring Westminster Abbey and St. Paul’s Cathedral. I also loved seeing all the famous sites like Tower Bridge and Big Ben. Finally, I went to Notting Hill and saw the Notting Hill Bookshop and different buildings in the movie, which was so cool!”
