Welcome back to campus for the second semester, Royals. Last year was filled with so many unexpected pop cultural moments that kept us entertained throughout the year and we look forward to more iconic moments this year. As we start the year we wanted to try and predict events for this year that we would love to see happen, and some for fun, create our own 2025 bingo card.
1.Rihanna drops an album then leaves music world
2. Harry Styles releases a new album and there is a One Direction feature
3. The TikTok ban will never happen
4. Kendall Jenner and Joe Burrow will start dating
5. Zach Bryan gets featured on the next Morgan Wallen album
6. Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have a baby after they get married
7. Sra. Ray becomes the next Spanish voice on Duolingo
8. Jake Shane gets a late-night talk show or James Corden makes a comeback
9. “Grey’s Anatomy” finally ends
10. Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo collab
11. Mrs. DAlba wins a Nobel Peace Prize
12. Noah Beck gets a big acting role
13. The original cast of “Hamilton” will make a comeback on Broadway
14. “Hannah Montana” will get a reboot movie
15. Nara Smith makes her debut at the Met Gala
16. J.J McCarthy opens my direct message on Instagram and takes me (Bella Vallejo ’26) to prom
17. Emma Chamberlain debuts her own fashion line and hosts a fashion show
18. Justin Bieber also retires from music and starts teaching songwriting at Rosary
19. Kendrick Lamar and Drake sing together at the Superbowl
20. Mysterious Girl will appear on “Dancing with the Stars” next season
We will keep up with these predictions throughout the year, but we also asked some members of the Rosary community what they think. Addison Gutierrez ‘26 predicted, “James Charles is definitely going to do a collab with Bratz.” This would be a great collab. Sophomore Molly Burke thinks “Tom Holland and Zendaya will elope to get secretly married.” After their engagement, this is most likely coming true. We look forward to seeing what happens this year in pop culture and at Rosary.
