As the season of giving comes to an end, Rosary and Servite’s Trinitas comes together to hold a clothing drive every year. Trinitas is our combined schools’ theatre program and, aside from putting on amazing plays and musicals, one of our big values is giving back to the community.
Throughout the school year, we have many opportunities to do this: during Thanksgiving we have a canned food drive through Trinitas, and now we have the clothing drive. The money from both drives go to those who are less fortunate and help families in our very own communities.
Bella Ambata ’27 is a member of Troupe 4566 (which is Trinitas’ Leadership board). Bella’s mom is helping Trinitas by running the clothing drive drop-off at Rosary. You may have seen her at the front gate holding a sign asking for donations this past week. Ambata shared, “The Trinitas Clothing drive is an amazing way for us Royals to live out our charism in this new year. We work with a company that takes our donations of gently used clothing, shoes, bedding, towels, curtains and purses and brings them to a developing country, such as Mexico and Guatemala.”
One of our Trinitas’ Troupe 4566 board members, Sami DiCrisi ’26 said, “With my role on the Thespian board being the Community Service Chair, I oversee organizing, executing and completing service projects in our very own community!”
DiCrisi also shared how the Trinitas clothing drive is an awesome opportunity to give back to your community. The proceeds go to non-profit and countless communities who need support monetarily and with clothes. We appreciate all the help we can get so help spread love to others around you—a small donation will go a long way!
Another Thespian member Amanda Fernandez ’27 shared, “I enjoy the community service we do in Trinitas and I feel like it is so important to help those in our community. With it also being one of Rosary’s core values, through Trinitas, I can give back and do community service with my friends. It also makes the experience so much fun!”
If you have new or gently used clothes, consider donating it through Trinitas. We greatly appreciate donations of clothes, blankets, towels, bags etc. As this year’s clothing drive comes to an end, make sure to look out for next years! Don’t forget Jan. 13 is the last day!
