Royals, in commemoration of the upcoming Christmas break, we were allowed to wear Christmas spirit wear this week! Over the weekend, Rosary’s Director of Activities, Maggie La Bonte ’09, announced when and what we’re allowed to wear: on Wednesday, Dec. 11, we were allowed to wear our favorite Christmas sweater with our uniform skirt and pants; on Friday, Dec. 13, we were allowed to wear our favorite Christmas sweater or a red/green shirt with jeans.
As one of Rosary’s famed reviewers, I was asked to write about some of the week’s best Christmas looks!
First off, before the full-blown Christmas outfits on Friday, some of my favorite sweaters I saw on Wednesday were Buddy the Elf and reindeer themed. Speaking on her beautiful, lit-up reindeer sweater, Rebecca Nassar ’25 shared, “I felt a little like Mrs. Claus wearing the sweater with my white tights, but nothing was going to stop the spirit of Christmas coursing through my veins!”
Second, senior Vianna Cabal‘s outfit was a great example of a casual, yet festive Christmas look. Trendy yet festive, Vianna’s outfit is for all those who are not inclined to fully indulge in traditional Christmas looks. On the thought process and inspiration behind her outfit, Vianna explained, “When I was looking through my sister’s closet, I found a red shirt and decided it would be cute to pair with a white sweater.”
Finally, for a more traditional Christmas look, senior religion teacher, Mrs. D’Alba shone like the bright star she is while wearing her mother’s beautiful wreath pin: “The wreath I’m wearing is my mother’s. Since she never really wore a lot of wear jewelry, this is one of the only pieces of jewelry I have of her’s.”
Overall, the Christmas spirit is alive and well on Rosary’s campus! With finals coming up next week, Royals definitely needed this week to prepare and take in the beauty of this season.
