Gobble Gobble Gobble! It’s officially Thanksgiving time. While it’s many people’s favorite holidays because of how much food they get to eat, there are also people who don’t really care for it. As a Thanksgiving and food lover myself, I scoured Rosary’s halls to find Royals’ favoirte Thanksgiving foods.
Freshman Karter Wheeler stated, “My favorite Thanksgiving foods are probably either creamed corn or mac-n-cheese. I can’t choose between them though because they are both so good. The mac-n-cheese on Thanksgiving is always really cheesy; it’s just so good. On Thanksgiving Day, I look forward to spending time with family and those foods.”
Maddie White ‘27 gave her honest opinion stating, “My favorite food is mashed potatoes because they’re SO GOOD! I love French fries, so mashed potatoes are technically smashed up fries.” Yes Maddie, I totally agree with you! Mashed potatoes are a must-have on every Thanksgiving plate.
The next person I asked was Kensington Schley ‘26, and she said, “This sounds exotic, but I love the corn souffle that my family makes every year for Thanksgiving dinner. It is super delicious, and everyone seems to like it!” Based on your raving review, we might need to stop by your house to try some of this corn souffle, Kensie.
Finally, when asked about her favorite Thanksgiving food, senior Alyssa McCreary announced, “My favorite Thanksgiving food would have to be the bread rolls because you can eat them as an appetizer or with the main course. They NEVER fail!” I don’t know about you guys, but I have at least five bread rolls throughout the night.
Personally, turkey, mashed potatoes, bread rolls, brussels sprouts, pumpkin pie, and apple pie are what comprises my plate; please comment what your favorite Thanksgiving foods are.
Happy Thanksgiving!
