On Friday, Nov. 8, Inspire Kindness and Rosary’s PAL are putting on a “Blue the School day” at Rosary. For context, Blue the School is a day centered on kindness and respect while Inspire Kindness is a group that invites schools all around the world to spread kindness.
PAL Co-Treasurer Parker Yee ’26 explained her perspective on Blue the School: “Blue the School means spreading kindness and joy throughout the school! Being kind to others around you is so important! One kind act can change someone’s day. Being kind can help lift up Rosary, especially through the holidays and finals time!” Yes, being kind around campus can really make a difference. Finals are approaching fast, so it could be a great idea to turn someone’s stressful day into a better one with a small act of kindness.
Assistant Principle of Student Services and PAL Moderator Mrs. Huerta ’94 shared more about the meaning of this day: “Inspire Kindness invites schools worldwide to wear blue to support Being Kind and Respectful to one another. We are asking that Rosary students, faculty and staff wear blue to join in solidarity to stop bullying and cyberbullying and spread kindness.” To find out a little bit more about how Rosary is participating in this day, check your Outlook for an email from Mrs. Huerta.
Since it doesn’t cost anything to be kind, it also doesn’t cost anything to wear blue to school on Friday. That said, join in this call of spreading kindness by wearing a blue top with blue jeans or a uniform skirt!
