Sonny Bhatia ’26 is a rising junior at Servite who plays on their basketball and volleyball teams. I thought I’d interview him about his life at Servite. Read more to learn about Sonny!
What is your favorite subject at Servite?
My favorite subject is US History, and I have a great teacher. My US History teacher is very helpful, and he helps me to enjoy the subject.
What do you want to study in college?
I want to major in business at the University of Southern California or the University of California, Los Angeles. When I get older I want to do something in that field.
What are some study habits you use for a big test or exam?
For big tests, I use Pomodoro method. This method includes different intervals of breaks and working. This method is used so that burnout can be prevented while studying.
What is your favorite Servite tradition?
My favorite Servite tradition is Freshman Formation. I enjoy spending the weekend with my friends in priory. I also enjoy meeting and teaching the incoming freshmen about Servite. We all form a very strong bond, and I am still friends with some of these boys today.
How do you feel about Red & Gold?
I think Red & Gold is a great tradition and the shows are great every year. I enjoy talking to my friends at Rosary and hearing about their experiences during Red & Gold. I think it is very unique, and it is fun to watch and be a part of.
What is your favorite thing about Servite?
My favorite thing about Servite would be the brotherhood. I have made some lifelong friends from attending this school, and I’ll never forget them. We all are very close with each other, and we bond over many things. It’s a great community, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Are you excited for senior year?
I am excited for my senior year. I am excited for all of the football games, senior nights, senior activities and even applying to college.
