Servite hosted a college fair for Rosary and Servite students this Tuesday, Oct. 22. Representatives from over 80 colleges and universities were present at the Servite gym such as, Arizona State University, Baylor University, Chapman University, University of California Los Angeles, University of Notre Dame, University of San Diego, and University of Southern California. Thus, a great opportunity for students to meet with representatives and explore future universities, college night was a bona fide success!
After asking one of Rosary’s academic counselors, Mrs. Crowley, for her opinion on college night, she told me, “The college fair was a wonderful success! It provided an excellent opportunity for students to explore a wide range of universities all in one place.” Moreover, while students were walking around, she said they “were able to engage directly with representatives, ask questions, and gather valuable information that can guide their future decisions.” From her perspective, she “noticed a lot of excitement and curiosity among the students, which is crucial as they begin to think about their next steps. Events like this not only help them learn about different programs and campus cultures, but they also foster a sense of community and support.” Likewise, I also thought it was a fantastic experience to navigate their college choices!
Servite student, Patrick Hasset ‘26 also attended the college fair and said, “I thought the college night was super informational.” He also said, “there were so many colleges that I was able to visit and get to know a little more about. However, it was a little stressful that I’m only a year away from applying to colleges.” While college can be stressful to start thinking about for juniors, college night was a great intro!
Another junior, Isabelle Brule who attended the college fair stated, “I thought it was very educational and helped me learn about more colleges, besides the ones I was looking at.”
This college fair was a great opportunity for students to explore various top universities and learn more about their curriculum and student life. If you missed this college fair, do not worry because college representatives are often holding information sessions in Rosary’s LEC during lunch! That said, be sure to check your Remind regularly for news about these visits: it is never too early to start planning your future!
