Last week, 45 seniors embarked on their Kairos retreat. These girls spent the week at Mission San Luis Rey, where they grew closer to God and their fellow sisters. While I cannot disclose what exactly happens at Kairos, I can confidently say that it was one of the best experiences I’ve had at Rosary. To all those considering going, and even those who aren’t, I highly recommend it. As someone who was admittedly skeptical at first, I truly felt that Kairos lived up to all its promises. Trust me when I say you will be on that Kai-High!
To gain a more accurate review of Kairos, I have enlisted the help of three fellow seniors who also went on the trip:
Starting off, Sophia Aquino ’25 shared her experience as a retreatant: “Everyone always talks so highly about Kairos and now I finally understand it. Kairos was one of the only times I felt completely relaxed and at peace mentally, spiritually and physically. Everything about it was so uplifting and I had so much fun making new connections with my senior sisters!”
You couldn’t have said it any better, Sophia!
Next up, I received a quote from Sam Wosk ’25, who celebrated her 18th birthday while on the retreat: “Kairos was a really good experience. I was able to connect with God and create new friendships with many of my classmates. These girls have changed my life for the better. Even on my birthday, I felt the love and sisterhood all around me which made going worth it. It was an amazing experience, and I encourage anyone who’s thinking about going to go!”
Sisterhood is definitely a common theme on Kairos. It is so amazing to hear one of our fellow Royals having a memorable birthday on the retreat.
Lastly, when I asked one of our Kairos leaders, Celine Asido ’25, about her experience, she said, “It was truly an honor and an amazing experience to learn more about my group and their beautiful souls—I am so grateful to them for their trust in me and they inspire me so much!”
It was an honor to have you as one of our leaders, Celine!
Based on these reviews, I hope you consider going on one of our future Kairos retreats; it is truly an enlightening experience.
