Congratulations to Rosary’s varsity volleyball and flag football teams for qualifying to play in the CIF-SS Division III playoffs! Both teams exemplify amazing sportsmanship and grace. We are so proud of these girls for their hard work and dedication on both the field and the court.
The flag football team is full of energetic and passionate girls. As a newer sport here at Rosary, their qualification for CIF is impressive and inspiring. This past Wednesday, they participated in CIF Round 1 against Torrance at Zamperini Stadium. Although they didn’t make it to round 2, their success throughout their season is something to definitely be proud of.
Quarterback Bella Contreras ‘25 shared her experience playing CIF saying, “Having the opportunity to play in a CIF playoff game was so special because it was the first year ever. I’m glad I had the chance to participate my senior year, and I’m excited for my younger teammates to compete again next year!”
Additionally, as an undefeated team this season, Rosary volleyball continues to make unforgettable memories and accomplishments. This Thursday, October 24th at 6 p.m. in the Karcher Center, volleyball is scheduled to play their first CIF match. All people attending must purchase a ticket through Go Fan prior to the event. Adult tickets are $13.60, and student/child tickets are $7.30. At the doors, a QR code is also available to purchase any last-minute tickets.
Senior captain Lizzie Larson shares her enthusiasm going into CIF: “I’m super thrilled to be going to CIF especially with this team. It has been an amazing season and I’m excited to see how far we go.” Us Royals are also looking forward to cheering on our volleyball team and supporting them every step of the way.
We are so proud of flag football for a highly accomplished season, and we wish volleyball good luck as they continue to compete!
