Sealed and closed I locked my fate,
A puff of air and all will be said.
I played the high note without wait,
Confessions spilled–all things yet to be read.
Hesitancy is a poison,
Halting what begs to be set free.
The wax on which I seal my truth is crimson,
“Remain tight-lipped” I hear my heart plea.
Swimming in the drought,
I’m parched for an answer.
Conviction clouded by doubt,
I remain your sole romancer.
Letters never sent,
A love never confessed.
Exasperated, my emotions are spent,
A union that’s never blessed.
