Rather than having a senior night, this past Saturday the Rosary Tennis seniors had their senior day at Fullerton Tennis Center. The girls were super excited to celebrate all their years of hard work, keep reading to learn more about what they did this weekend.
To begin, the girls ate breakfast and had delicious food. Donuts, breakfast burritos, croissants, fruit and juice were all served and everyone loved it. The breakfast was potluck style, so each family pitched in.
On a more serious and memorable note, each one of the seniors got to hear kind words from their coaches. Coach Debbie Simonton individually went through each senior and talked about how without them, the Rosary tennis team would not be the same. Each girl has played a very special role on the team. Amelia Perez ‘25 shared, “It was really nice to hear kind words from coaches. I had a blast at the event overall and am looking forward to our last few matches.”
To end the event, the seniors also got to play matches against their families. Many girls said it was super silly watching their parents trying to play the sport they’ve been playing for years. The matches were for entertainment purposes, so nobody really kept score. Kate Piper ‘25 shared, “I already have a tennis family, so I didn’t think that this would be super fun. But, my dad took it really serious and it was hilarious to see him and my brother work so hard.”
The girls all looked beautiful. They received flower crowns and personalized tennis keychains for their backpacks. Many pictures were taken to commemorate this great class. With only two weeks left in their season, be sure to go out and support the Royals this Thursday against Irvine high school!
