Next Wednesday, October 23, Rosary will be hosting its annual Grandparents Day. This cherished tradition is beloved by both our Rosary students and their grandparents who get to visit the Rosary campus each year.
Grandmother to junior Bella Vallejo, Edna Chavez ‘81, shares, “I love Grandparents Day! Anytime I can come back to Rosary is a great time.” Grandparents Day is a great way for Rosary’s grandparents to get the day-to-day Royal experience and share memories with their granddaughters.
Special Events and Parent Engagement Manager Michelle French adds, “Grandparents Day is important to Rosary because it fosters community and honors the special bond between grandparents and their granddaughters. This day allows grandparents and granddaughters to pray together and create a memory that will last a lifetime.”
The Grandparents Day schedule this year will go as follows:
7:45 a.m. arrival time and check-in
8:00 a.m. Mass of Saint John Paul II begins
9:30 a.m. Mass ends
Since the schedule for the day is Gold (late start) students whose grandparents will be attending are required to get to school a little early and will be 30 minutes late to their first block (period two class). Registration is required for this event, but there is no cost.
Grandparents Day is an easy way to spend some quality time with grandparents. Royals, don’t forget to invite your grandparents for a memorable faith-filled morning!
