The Trinitas 2024-2025 season is officially underway. This year, the shows are a little different: Instead of having a fall and winter show, we are cutting the winter show and just having a weekend showcase. If you are interested in Shakespeare, Christmas in April or making people laugh, this article is for you!
“Peter and the Starcatcher” November 14 – 16
This fall, you can experience the origin story of Peter Pan and a prequel to the story we all know and love. The cast and crew have been working over the course of the semester and continue to work hard and give it their all for the upcoming performance dates. The performances are November 14 – 16 at 7 p.m., with an additional performance on November 16 at 1 p.m.
“Trinitas Winterfest” February 7 – 9
This weekend will be full of laughs, poetry and more! On Friday, we will have all of your favorite Shakespeare stories and scenes. Saturday will be lighthearted, with our Comedy Sportz Faculty Match. In this match, you can watch students go up against your favorite staff members! On Sunday, you can hear students sing songs and tell stories about their lives and growing up. Cabaret is such a great experience and show to witness at least once in your life.
February 7, 2025 – 7 p.m. – An Evening of Shakespeare: Sonnets, Scenes & Songs
February 8, 2025 – 7 p.m. – Comedy Sportz: High School League – Faculty Match
February 9, 2025 – 3 p.m. – Trinitas Cabaret
“Elf: The Musical” April 10 – 12
You’ve heard of Christmas in July, but get ready for Christmas in April! “Elf: The Musical” is this year’s spring musical. If you’ve wanted to be in the musical this year, make sure to audition when the dates are out. If you aren’t sure if you want to audition, you can also come to the workshop Trinitas holds for each show. Trinitas is looking forward for auditions and this performance. The best part about the musical is if you want to be a part of “Elf: The Musical” you can and will. The musical doesn’t cut anyone.
If you prefer to be in the audience, save the dates for the performances: April 10 – 12 at 7 p.m. with an additional performance at 1 p.m. on April 12.
Comedy Sportz:
Do you need a good laugh? Or do you want to make people laugh? If so, Comedy Sportz is for you! If you don’t know what happens during a Comedy Sportz match, let me tell you. In a Comedy Sportz match, we have two teams: a red and blue team. They compete in head-to-head games to try and win over the audience. The overall point of Comedy Sportz is to grow your communication and improv skills. Servite sophomore Trevor Sipowich said, “I joined Comedy Sportz not knowing anything about it, however, after that first practice, I felt that I made some lifetime friends and felt more confident in public speaking. I made friends I’ll keep forever!”
One of our Co-Managers Ellie Astorga ’25 talks about her experience: “As a freshman, Comedy Sportz had really gotten me out of my shell. I went from being really shy to putting myself out there. I learned how to go with the flow, how to build my confidence and how to just have fun. I wouldn’t be where I am without Comedy Sportz.”
There is a match tonight, October 17, at 7 p.m. at Servite. The next match is November 21, also at Servite at 7 p.m.
Make sure to mark your calendars for these upcoming events and performances. Come to support Rosary and Servite’s theatre production, the Trinitas Arts Conservatory!
