Homecoming 2024 was a major success and a key factor was Steven (also maybe spelled Stephen or his name is could be Samuel–we have unreliable sources) the balloon guy. He was working hard all four hours of the dance, making anything from balloon wands to dogs and crowns. He was surely the highlight of the night.
Steven has been a balloon artist for three years now and has gotten really good. He can make almost anything in under two minutes. He has worked at major events like big parties and charity events. He was super friendly to all the Royals and Friars who got a balloon.
Gigi Simmons ‘26 was one of his first customers of the night; she exclaimed, “He had such a great variety of balloons he could make and colors. He even helped me pick out a doll.” Gigi loved her doll-shaped balloon.
Peyton Saunooke ‘27 shared her thoughts about the balloon artist: “He was a king and made me the best balloon dog! I love my pink dog. Thank you Steven!”
Junior Maddie Nero wore her crown all night. Maddie shared, “He was the highlight. If it wasn’t for Steven, Homecoming would have not been a 100 out of 10.”
Thank you Steven for all your hard work to make Homecoming so fun. I really hope you come back next year!
