Rosary’s beautiful Homecoming court!

Excitement and anticipation fill the air as the Rosary and Servite Homecoming dance approaches. The theme this year is “Carnival” and will be held this Saturday at Servite High School.

One thrilling aspect of this event is commemorating our very own Homecoming court. Six seniors and two juniors were selected by each school to participate in Rosary’s Homecoming rally and walk the field at the Servite football game. At the dance itself, they will receive special recognition on the dance floor. Rosary’s court includes seniors Itzel Guzman, Sophia Aquino, Riley Thompson, Daleah Cardenas, Sabrina Martin and Nisa Avalos, and juniors Maddie Lambros and Gianna Sorenson. Servite’s court includes seniors Brandon Bass, Jacob Braun, Pierre Balta, Lane Dominguez, Reid Mello, and Gabriel Chou, and juniors Jaden Rasic and Rafael Gonzalez.

Senior Itzel Guzman shared her experience leading up to the Homecoming court announcement: “When I found out I was on Homecoming court I was really surprised. I’m really honored that my peers think I’m princess material, and I can’t wait to see who will be announced queen!” All girls on the court are definitely princess material, including senior Sophia Aquino. Sophia also shared her thoughts on being on the Homecoming court: “I’m excited to be on the court with my friends for my senior year. It’s a great way to celebrate my last Homecoming.”

Additionally, junior Gianna Sorenson looks forward to experiencing all the fun activities saying, “I am so excited! I love the rally and cannot wait to be escorted under the Friday night lights.” Both Rosary and Servite’s court represent the students in such a lively and fun manner.

Homecoming is one of Rosary and Servite’s favorite traditions, and students are looking forward to the announcement of the Homecoming king and queen at this Friday’s football game. However, no matter the outcome, we are proud of all students for putting themselves out there and trying something new.
