Homecoming season is officially here! While we’re all excited to finally dress up and dance the night away at our carnival-themed event, I think we can all agree that one of the most exciting parts of the Homecoming season is the creative proposals that come with it. Speaking of creative proposals, let’s go over some of the posters our Royals have received:
First up, we have senior Sydney Hastert, who was asked by Servite student Luke Vanskiver ’25 at the Servite football game against St. Paul. After an impressive victory, there seemed to be no better way to end the night than with a proposal. We all can’t wait to see these two “run it back” at HOCO!
Next on the list is an iconic matcha-themed poster, which was given to Kayleen Dee ’27 by Servite student Nate Lagman ’27; a match-a made in heaven. As a matcha lover myself, this idea is definitely one of my personal favorites. I hope next time they’ll spare me a drink, too!
As for the juniors, our first is undeniably one for the books. Delilah Moos ’26 was asked by Levi Laughlin ’26; rather than making your typical poster, Levi decided to have five little girls hold up each character in the question, “HOCO?”
Last but not least, Maddie Lambros ’26 received an adorable poster from Parker Buetow ’26. This cute duo shared their love for Legos with a Lego-themed poster.
I know that we all cannot wait to see these pairs at this year’s Homecoming dance. But whether you were asked or not, I can guarantee that you will still have a blast.
P.S.: To all the Friars reading this, I encourage you all to muster up the courage to ask someone to at least one dance at during your high school years.
