As we all know, Royals are hard workers. Whether they are focusing on school, sports, or their job, they can do it all. To give some recognition to the Royals with a job, let’s see how they get it done!
To begin, Nahomi Saito ‘25 is a barista at Brew Story in Huntington Beach. Although she only works on weekends, she still needs to use her time management skills to juggle her social, school, and work life. Her favorite drink to make is an Americano because it is so easy to make.
Nahomi also likes working because it gives her financial independence. She says, “Being financially independent is so important to me. I’m able to buy clothes, concert tickets, and manage my own expenses.”
Gabby Lazo ’25 is a math tutor at Mathnasium. She tutors elementary school math. Her favorite part of her job is learning about her individual students. Gabby works on Tuesdays and Thursdays! She works six hours a week
Sophia Aquino ‘25 is another Royal barista. She works at Hooked on Coffee in Whittier. Sophia works during school days so she also needs to be strategic with her time. However, since her boss is very flexible, her work is “chill.” Sophia says, “It took some adjusting and getting used to, but I’ve found a good rhythm that’s helped me get through the year so far.”
We should commend these Royals for juggling their busy school lives with their work lives. If you ever need some big sister advice on how to get a job, don’t be shy to ask your fellow Royals: they’re here to help!
