Many Royals and members of our Rosary community enjoy this beloved newspaper for a number of reasons. It’s informational, funny and features the best that Rosary has to offer. That being said, I know three people who never miss a single story on the Royal Reporter. If you think you love the RR, think again, because the RR’s biggest fans are checking up on us daily! They never miss a beat or an opportunity to comment on a story.
In this article, I’d like to give a shoutout to our three biggest fans: my grandpa, Bob Clark, who lives in Oregon but stays connected through the RR, a student, Harper Clark ‘26, who has been begging us just to write this article since last year and Rosary’s Religion Department Chair who’s always giving us positive feedback, Mrs. D’Alba.
I asked them a few questions to learn more about their dedication to the RR:
How often do you read the RR (on a daily/weekly basis)?
Mr. Clark: I read the RR weekly, usually on Friday afternoon. Although I must admit, sometimes I find myself on the RR site daily, especially towards the end of the school year. The reason I enjoy reading the articles at the end of the year is several of them reflect on seniors and where they are going to college. It makes me proud to know that my granddaughter will be among those graduates in 2026.
Harper: I read RR almost every class period. If it is not interfering with my classwork, I will be reading it. No matter what, the tab is always open, and I am constantly waiting for new articles.
Mrs. D’Alba: I try to read the Royal Reporter at least twice a month.
How long have you been reading the RR?
Mr. Clark: Since August 2022, after hearing that my granddaughter had been selected as a Staff Writer.
Harper: I have been reading RR since freshman year. It all started when I first discovered Trista Verne‘s ‘22 article interviewing her Snapchat AI on April 27. This started my obsession, and I have been hooked since.
Mrs. D’Alba: I’ve been reading the RR for about three or four years.
What’s your favorite column/section of the RR?
Mr. Clark: It would be hard to pick just one favorite RR section. I enjoy reading about the student news, sports, feature articles, and the teacher corner.
Harper: My favorite section of the RR is humor or student life.
Mrs. D’Alba: I enjoy all types of articles. I especially like the human-interest stories and teacher bios.
Do you have an all-time favorite article?
Mr. Clark: Again, it would be difficult to pick just one favorite article. However, any article written by my granddaughter has to be a favorite.
Harper: I don’t want to say I have an all-time favorite because they are all so good. If anyone were to ask me this question I would never stop talking. Although Emma Muse‘s ’26 “A letter to the girls that made my year memorable” is my favorite, but that is just because it is mostly about me. But when I see an article by a fellow junior, I know it will be good.
Mrs. D’Alba: My favorite article is always about pets.
The RR appreciates all of our fans! We hope to continue to impress our biggest fans and the entire Rosary community with our articles.
