As Homecoming gets closer, the anticipation heightens and we all start scrambling for a dress. Whether you buy it in advance or express ship it two days before, finding the right Hoco dress is crucial. With a rough freshman and sophomore year, it was not until junior year that I learned my lesson and bought my dress in advance. Thus, having learned the hard way in my four years at Rosary, take this advice from a senior and buy your dress in advance!
Now that we have a new dress code implemented, it’s especially important to make sure your dress is appropriate. Let’s go over it:
- Dresses/skirts must be “midi” length, hitting the middle of the shin/calf or longer.
- Jumpsuits are allowed, but must follow the same guidelines as dresses
- No slits, cut-outs or transparent fabrics that reveal sides, stomach, high thigh, or low back
- No undergarments of any kind may show at any point
- Two-piece dresses are acceptable ONLY IF the two pieces come together so no skin is showing at any time
- Flip flops, slides or bare feet are not allowed.
- Students are asked to dress modestly and appropriately, in accordance with our Catholic values.
So, girls, let’s be classy and follow the guidelines to avoid a detention or having to put on a different dress! To help you get a better idea of what to wear, here are some cute dresses that Mrs. Burboa suggests:
Happy homecoming season and make sure your dresses fall under dress code, Royals!
