Our first semester’s Club Rush was a success! This past Thursday, the Royals introduced new clubs and promoted existing clubs. All club officers lined up with their poster boards inside the Karcher Center during lunch and presented their clubs to their peers. Some clubs even offered treats to give out.
As students entered, they dispersed throughout the gym and looked over all the clubs. Every club has a different goal and mission to complete, whether it’s volunteer service, a special interest or even more. Anyone can find a club that suits their interests. This year, Royals will attend club meetings throughout the semester and carry out their club’s mission and goals.
One returning club this year that is well-known by all is the RAD Club. This year, Stacy Stroud ‘25 is the president of RAD Club and attended Club Rush to share it with more students. Stacy said she “enjoyed meeting all those who were interested” in joining the RAD Club. She also expressed her “hope for RAD club is to get the supplies and money donated to RAD Camp, while bringing awareness to its awesomeness.” Club Rush was a success for her because she was able to “meet some amazing students who [she] knows will help the club greatly.” Club Rush was a great way for new and returning students to catch a glimpse of what the RAD Club is like!
Also returning to Club Rush, Tahlia Jain ‘26 is the president of two clubs this year: The Eras Club and Model United Nations. This year, Tahlia is “so excited to host Rosary’s very first conference this year in MUN!”
According to Tahlia, creating this chapter means that “students from across Orange County will be able to come and debate current issues at Rosary.” Tahlia has been apart of Model UN since her freshman year and is looking forward to taking a new initiative this year. In addition to managing Model UN, she also is president of The Eras Club, which Tahlia describes as “a fun social club where Rosary Swifties can connect.” During their meetings, members will make friendship bracelets, participate in Taylor Swift trivia, and appreciate Taylor Swift’s music. Tahlia has a great feeling about both of her clubs this year.
Overall, this year’s club rush was a fun event for students, and even some prospective Royals, to be a part of! Everyone was able to partake in the fun, and grab some treats, while finding new interests and passions.
Next semester, another club rush will be held, so if you want to start your own club or join a new one, there is still a chance to do so. Have fun with your clubs this year, and be sure to take advantage of all of the service opportunities, bake sales and more!
