The Rosary tennis team is known for their stellar academics and gracefulness; being a part of the team myself, I have the honor of being surrounded by supportive girls and coaches. This past Thursday, the team had the opportunity to spend time together outside of the tennis courts!
Once the school bell rang, the girls headed to room 6 where Health and Wellness teacher and tennis coach, Mrs. Simonton, teaches. Together, we listened to the “High School Musical” soundtrack and did our hair and make-up. I find that getting ready with the team is always fun and exciting because all the girls get to share helpful tips with each other.
After everyone finished getting ready, we headed to the gorgeous Hillcrest Park to take team pictures. Some photos were professionally taken; team members took others on their cell phones. Many girls even posted on their Instagram to show their love and appreciation for Rosary tennis. Everyone looked amazing and the energy was high!
Finally, we headed back to Rosary and we were greeted with a large party bus that took us to Downtown Disney. We were given snacks and adorable Minnie Mouse ears to wear the whole time. We listened to fun music on the bus and sang for the whole 30-minute ride!
When we arrived at Downtown Disney, we walked around and then had dinner together. We were able to strengthen our bond as a team as we kicked off our season. Thank you to all the tennis coaches and parents for the exciting evening!
