For the past few weeks, the religion department has advertised the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Youth Advisory Team. But what is the CSJ Youth Advisory Team? This team is for high school students who want to gain a better understanding of grantmaking and nonprofit organizations. The team meets once a month from October 2024 through October 2025, excluding the months over the summer, for a total of nine meetings. If this is something you are interested in, keep reading to learn about the requirements.
The requirements are pretty simple:
- You must be a high school student
- You must complete the application by September 15
- You should be interested in grantmaking, nonprofits and connecting with the Sisters of St. Joseph
Why should you join the CSJ Advisory Team? Well, you’ll be able to collaborate with other high schoolers, gain important life skills and earn a $500 stipend if you attend at least seven meetings. Junior Christina Vaughan is looking forward to joining the team this year: “I want to join the CSJ Youth Advisory Team because it will be a great educational opportunity and another way to serve the dear neighbor.”
Hopefully, you’ve learned more about the CSJ Youth Advisory Team and can make an informed decision about joining. Just remember, the application is due September 15 and you can find it from your religion teacher.
