Our first official sports rally of the year was a success! The rally featured all of our amazing fall sports—cross country, volleyball, golf, tennis and flag football. Make sure to keep up with the sports schedules and support your Rosary sisters!
Before the rally, ASB Athletic Officer Bella Vallejo ’26 said, “I can’t wait to see everyone hyped. I can’t wait to lead the cheers; I’m super excited for the first rally.”
The rally began with stunning performances from the cheer and dance teams. These performances were followed by some student cheers and fall sports videos. There were some amazing videos this year—some favorites included flag football and volleyball. Kensie Schley ’26 comments on the rally videos: “I think volleyball had the best video. The rally was really fun because everyone was so excited for the first rally of the year.” Demi Totah ’25 gave her opinion as well: “I thought the flag football video was the best, and the games were really entertaining.” It sounds like they enjoyed the rally overall.
Of course, we can’t talk about the rally without talking about some friendly class competition. During the head, shoulders, ball game, the freshmen won in a head-to-head battle against the seniors. Hailey Blankenship ’28 commented on their win: “I really liked when we won the first game.” One loss could not keep them down though: the seniors came back when they stole the show during the dance battle. After the cheering and screaming, it all came down to the coveted Spirit Stick.
The Spirit Stick is awarded to the class with the most spirit at the rally. For the fall sports rally, the Spirit Stick was awarded to the freshman class. Even though the other classes hoped to claim the Spirit Stick, we are happy that the class of 2028 knows how to bring the energy. We’re looking forward to all the upcoming rallies where each class will have another chance to show off their Rosary spirit.
