Friday night lights, dances, classes, and practices: a realization that summer is over and school is back in session. As we get into the new school year, Royals are taking a moment to reminisce and share interesting bits of their summer.
Bella Vallejo ‘26 shared some experiences from her summer, “I had so much fun this summer. I spent most of the days at the beach and with my friends. One night specifically, my friends and I took a trip to Corona Del Mar and jumped off a rock.”
Freshman Erhys Sky also had some beach adventures, “I went to a fair with my friends, I also went to the beach like seven times this summer. One time my friends and I were exploring on the rocks and we found a cave, it was super fun.”
Senior Nahomi Saito was living it up at the Kia Forum, “I saw Niall Horan in July and it was so fun. I went with some friends and my mom. It was such a fun and special experience, my favorite part was when he brought out Lizzy Mcalpine and Julia Michaels. Ms. Brinegar ’16 was also there.”
English teacher Ms. Brinegar testified to Niall’s stellar performance, “I loved the concert, Niall Horan is one of my favorite artists. I didn’t personally see Nahomi, but I could feel her presence in the forum.”
Junior Christina Vaughan spent her summer in Colorado “In June, my uncle went on vacation so my best friend and I flew out to Colorado to dog and house sit for him. We spent two weeks there and hung out with my cousins, visited the Stanley Hotel (where the show “The Shining” was shot), hung out in downtown Fort Collins, went to the Denver Zoo, and hung out by the river. It was such an amazing time.”
The Royal Reporter hopes Royals enjoyed their break and can’t wait to see them take on the upcoming year.
