As my sophomore year comes to a close, I look back on the amazing memories I have made in my classes. There have been more times than I can count where I have been close to laughing on the floor or having a potluck every week. At Rosary, there is never a dull moment. Come take a walk down memory lane, when I asked some of my teachers what some of their favorite memories from this year have been.
In religion, we had the pleasure of getting to create our own wedding. For extra credit, each girl got the opportunity to create a wedding plan by picking out a dress, ring, and venue. Ms. Bowen ‘12 commented on the project, “It was a lot of fun seeing the creativity of the religion class and seeing what different girls wanted for their weddings. It was evident everyone is excited for the Sacrament of Matrimony.”
Teacher of the year Sra. Ray reminisced about the time in Spanish when my class was talking about what we wanted to be when we were younger. She exclaimed “ You (Bella) said that you thought you would become a princess when you were little. I remarked that Megan Markle went to an all-girls Catholic school and she ended up with Prince Harry. So, we all think that you still have a chance at that dream. In fact, I pointed out that there are plenty of eligible bachelors like this Prince from Belgium who is attending Harvard right now.”
English with Ms. Brinegar ‘16 is never a quiet class. Within a short amount of a year we had a lot of great memories. Ms. Brinegar shared, “Some of my favorite memories from this year were when the whole class cast famous actors to be characters in Macbeth. Or the horrific spelling errors. When you (Bella) spelled passionate, passonet. All of you completely blew me away with how amazing your speech videos were!”
In journalism, I could probably write a whole other article about the great times period two has had in room 208. From the time Ms. Barclay spent $80 on delicious Swedish candy and we got to review it or when Talia Jane ’26 shocked the whole class with her interesting way of cutting bagels. I will deeply miss all the journalism seniors and period two.
The 2023 – 2024 school year has been filled with long lasting memories. Thank you to all the amazing teachers and staff that made this year so enjoyable. I can’t wait to do it all again next year. Happy Summer Break!
