As we get ready to graduate, we wanted to say a special thank you to some of our teachers who made coming to school less difficult, especially during the challenging times of senioritis.
Ms. Barclay,
You truly have made the last two years at Rosary so full of joy and laughter. Thank you for letting us sit in your room and annoy you during lunch in our junior year, and for tolerating us in the many classes you have taught us in. You make every class period so fun, and we genuinely look forward to coming into your class. You helped us learn how to write authentically and form our writing style into something unique. Your sense of humor never fails to make us laugh, and we love hearing your crazy stories.
Madame Neumann,
We truly cannot figure out how to express how grateful we are to have had you as our teacher for the last two years. Thank you for dealing with our constant questions and our very intense yap sessions. You made our love for French grow so much, and we are so glad that we were able to actually travel to Europe with you and experience the culture we had been learning about in class. Thank you so much for all the work you have put into teaching us and making French fun. We appreciate you so much, and talking French in college won’t come close to how the class was with you as our teacher. Thank you so much for being so understanding and working with us, despite our small (but mighty) class.
Mr. Lyons,
After three years in your class, saying goodbye feels bittersweet. You’ve made each class engaging and exciting. Your class was my motivation to get out of bed and head to school. Even during freshman year, when I wasn’t in your class, you welcomed me as I frantically printed out essays due the next period. You have been there for me the past four years of my life and I am really going to miss your guidance. You have inspired me to be the best I can possibly be and encourage me to strive for perfection. I will never forget the fun memories of yearbook and video production we have shared together. Thank you for being the best–you truly are unforgettable (and so are all of your baked goods). I think I’m going to miss your lemon bars the most.
Mr. Bevins
I remember being terrified of you my freshman year and honestly that fear traveled with me all the way until the beginning of this year. I was very nervous to take AP Lit because I wasn’t sure I was going to do well, and I knew you had 100% pass rate for all your classes, and I was sure I was going to be the one to mess it up. However, after hearing all of the seniors talk about how much they loved it last year, I decided to just take the step and do it. AP Lit turned out to be one of my favorite classes I’ve ever taken at Rosary. Thank you for making each class an opportunity to laugh and thank you for being so understanding throughout the year. You truly helped me develop a new sense of confidence in my writing, and I’m so grateful for everything.
To all our teachers, thank you for making the last couple of years memorable. We’ll miss your fascinating classes and the impact you’ve had on our lives.
