The Kathleen “Kay” Lee Memorial Athletic Fees Scholarship is a wonderful opportunity for a student-athlete to receive recognition for her dedication to her sport(s).
Mrs. Pontius ’03 shared, “Kay Lee was a special woman who fully supported Rosary and Rosary Athletics. Applying for the Kay Lee Memorial Athletic Fees Scholarship is a great opportunity for our student athletes to receive support with their athletic journey at Rosary. Kay Lee was a loyal supporter and believed in our student athletes’ abilities to achieve greatness both as athletes and young women. This memorial scholarship for athletic fees is a special way to honor Kay Lee and the legacy she has left in our community.”
Mr. Tice, Rosary’s athletic director, shared, “Kathleen started as a Rosary mom, and was president of our athletic booster club, and after her daughters graduated, she became an employee working in our athletic office. The Rosary store was her idea, and the Wall of Fame ceremony was her idea. She was very generous to athletes in need. This scholarship from her family and friends will continue that generosity.”
To apply for this scholarship, fill out the application sent in an April 30 email from Mrs. Pontius. The application requires four short answer responses to questions regarding the character, goals, and service of the applicant. Make sure to turn in your application to the Main Office by June 1.
This scholarship recipient will be honored at the Athletics Wall of Fame event on August 10.
