This past week, the ASB executive position election results were announced!
Executive Treasurer: Malia Sims ’25 , Executive Secretary: Destiny Itzel Guzman ’25 , Executive Vice President: Emma Ramirez ’26, Executive President: Marissa Valencia ’25
Junior Malia Sims, a current Media and Publicity Cabinet Officer, said, “I ran to be ASB Executive Treasurer since after my first year experience on ASB, I knew that I wanted to be on it again to continue to contribute to the student body. Being on ASB has allowed me to make some amazing friendships, make lasting memories, and help grow my confidence and public speaking skills. I wanted to be Executive Treasurer to challenge myself in a new way through the work I will be doing with not only Red and Gold but also with budgeting and creating events for my fellow Royals.
This also being her second year on ASB, Destiny Itzel Guzman ’25 stated, “I wanted to run for executive secretary because I love taking a part in our school community, meeting new people, and helping others. I’m so excited to be a part of 2024-2025 executive board, I can’t wait to take on new responsibilities, work together with my fellow executive members and plan events for the upcoming school year. Overall, I can’t wait to see what next year has in store for me as secretary. “
Emma Ramirez ’26, the only upcoming junior on the team, said, “I ran for ASB Executive Vice President because I enjoy being a part of Rosary’s community and all of the events that we host. I also ran because I wanted to create a memorable 2024-2025 school year for all our Royals. “
Junior Marissa Valencia, the upcoming Executive ASB President, explained, “Since freshmen year I knew I wanted to run for Executive President, and I was so excited when it was finally time to run. Being in ASB my junior year as a Cabinet officer let me experience how fun ASB is with running and being part of different school activities and games. Going through the process of making posters and writing my speech was so fun, getting my sister Alina’s advice to hear what she and others would want to hear, when I actually saying my speech I was so nervous but I tried to hide it, and when it was time to find out who won, my mind went blank to hear that I was elected. Next year I hope to make it an amazing school year!”
Congrats to these Royals on becoming the executive members for the 2024-2025 school year! If these quotes sparked any readers interest, consider applying for an ASB position.
