Now that prom season is coming up, I wanted to make a list of themes that weren’t used for this year’s prom. I’m kind of disappointed ASB didn’t use these themes, I think they would have made for a really great prom.

• The classic “Under the Sea” theme, but with Pete Davidson as DJ dressed as a crab.
• “Dancing in the Dark”:  neon dresses and neon glow sticks
• A poetry-themed prom: Everyone would dress like they are from a Shakespearean play.
• “A Hunger Game”: half the people would dress like they are from the Capitol, while the other half would dress like they are from the districts.
• Concert: Everyone would dress up like they would for a concert and Bruno Mars would come and sing love songs.
• Despicable ME: The students dress like minions and the DJ would be dressed up like Gru.
• “Around the World”: Everyone would dress up as different places and landmarks from around the world. For example, someone could dress up as the Statue of Liberty.
• Pajama theme: No dresses or tuxes, just sweatpants and t-shirts.
• “Beyoncé Western”: Everyone could wear sparkly dresses with cowboy boots to tie the whole look together.

Although I think my prom themes are better, this year’s theme is… A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Prom is on May 18 for juniors and seniors. Don’t forget to purchase tickets!
