Spring break is just around the corner, and as much fun as sitting on the couch and rewatching seven seasons of “Gilmore Girls” sounds, there are so many fun activities to do with your time off. Here’s a list of exciting things for you and your friends to do locally during spring break.
- Visit the Orange Circle: there are so many delicious places to eat. I personally recommend Bruxie and Bluestone Lane.
- Go on a sunset picnic at the beach.
- Visit a museum: there are so many options to choose from in OC, like the Bowers Museum, Laguna Art Museum, or the Orange County Museum in Costa Mesa.
- Go on a hike: if you have never hiked before, two beginner options are Top of the World in Laguna or Carbon Canyon in Yorba Linda (it has redwood trees).
- Have a board game and movie night: have each person bring a different food board and a movie. Have fun spending time with your friends or family by watching all the movies while snacking.
- Shop and eat at Downtown Disney.
- Try a new recipe: open Pinterest and look up easy desserts or dinners.
- Make bikini boxes: grab a box and paints and decorate a summer themed box to put all your swimsuits in.
- GO TO THE BEACH: take advantage of the sun one day and head to the ocean. Maybe even try a new beach spot.
Sophomore Elizabeth Meija shared what she is looking forward to doing: “Taking a day trip to LA or San Diego. There are endless things to do in both big cities by trying a new coffee shop or new beach.”
Hopefully, you found an idea or two to do during spring break. Enjoy the relaxing time off, and remember there are only four school days left! Happy Easter and spring break!
