As Red and Gold performance weekend quickly approaches, it is time for everyone to pack their backpacks and suitcases with essentials. As a senior, it is my place to share my Red and Gold wisdom and experience with the rest of Rosary.
So here are 15 essentials to make sure you are fully prepared for performance weekend:
- Hair ties and bobby pins
- Hair spray
- Hairbrush
- A curling iron or straightener
- Makeup (specifically powder, lipgloss, blush, extra false eyelashes, and lash glue)
- Makeup wipes
- Feminine products
- Bandaids
- Tissues
- Fashion tape and safety pins
- Phone charger
- Extra tights, shorts, and any undergarments you need for your costume
- Personal mirror (seniors get mirror priority, sorry not sorry)
- Handheld fan
- A good attitude and lots of energy!
Senior Brooke Skipton gives insight on her packing process for Red and Gold: “I keep reminding myself to not forget my finale costume. I need to get it down from the attic! If I forget something, I will be so sad.” So Royals, triple-check your bags to make sure you have everything you need for performance weekend!
Basically, pack for Red and Gold as if you are packing for the apocalypse. Put everything you think you need and more into your bag. Also, make sure your bag can close securely and has a unique print or color scheme so that you don’t get your items mixed with other teammates! It is much better to be overprepared rather than underprepared–trust me.
