The sock drive has officially started and will continue until Monday, March 6, meaning there is still time to order socks on Amazon or go in-store to buy some socks and bring them to school to donate. You can also receive Red and Gold Points for donating, which can be crucial to helping your team!
Mrs. Flati encourages us all to donate: “Support the sock drive. All socks are going to those unhoused in Orange County. It is the number 1 most requested item for homeless people. Only a few people have already donated and we need more socks. Use this as an opportunity to help your team and your neighbor.”
The school is accepting new, white, or black crew socks or higher in your team’s collection bin in between Room 8 and Room 9. Gigi Coo ’24 donated socks the other day and shared her experience, “It felt so great to donate socks, knowing that I am giving back to my community and helping out my Red and Gold team.”
The socks are going to homeless people in our own community. With the recent cold weather, I am sure these people will greatly appreciate new socks to keep their feet warm and clean. This sock drive is a great opportunity to serve the dear neighbor without distinction and earn Red and Gold points while doing so!
