Attention, Royals! The President’s Volunteer Service Award deadline is quickly approaching on Thursday, Feb. 29.
The President’s Volunteer Service Award is issued by Points of Light Institute and the Corporation for National and Community Service on behalf of the President of the United States to recognize students for their outstanding service in their community. Mrs. Moore shares the importance of this award, “Rosary Academy’s charism is to “serve the dear neighbor without distinction,” by participating in direct service outreach. This award is a great opportunity for us to recognize those students who have dedicated countless hours in service to their community.”
To be eligible for an award you must have completed at least 100 hours of volunteer service within the last 12 months. The Bronze Award requires 100-174 hours of service, the Silver Award requires 175-249 hours, and the Gold Award requires 250 or more hours.
Students must complete the Record of Service form and return to Mrs. Moore in the counseling office by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29.
